Job Summary and Qualifications
As an Environmental Services Assistant/Housekeeper under general supervision, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, you will clean, sanitize, organize and service the facility building areas in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Hospital. - Capable of working independently, setting priorities, and being flexible
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to perform cleaning duties to include: stooping, using a mop, polishing and bending, cleaning and making a bed
- Must be able to move arms above the head, lift, and push a cleaning cart
- Must be able to work with disinfectants and other cleaning chemicals according to procedures on a daily basis
- Must be able to climb ladders of up to six feet
- Must be able to use housekeeping equipment, such as Vacuums or other tools to perform daily tasks
What qualifications you will need:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English
- Minimum of one year of experience in housekeeping and custodial skills an acute health care setting preferred
