Travel LPN - Hospice
We're looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for an immediate travel opening in Tacoma, WA.
The right LPN should have 1 year of experience in Hospice or end-of-life care. Read below for more requirements.
As an LPN in Hospice care, you will provide compassionate nursing care to patients facing terminal illnesses. Working closely with the hospice team, you will focus on managing symptoms, providing comfort, and supporting patients and their families through the end-of-life journey.
As an LPN, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Administer medications and treatments to manage pain and symptoms
- Monitor vital signs and assess changes in patient condition
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary hospice team members
- Ensure documentation of nursing care and patient status is accurate and timely
- Assist with advance care planning and patient advocacy
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Respect patient dignity, privacy, and cultural preferences
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an LPN in a Hospice setting. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and be eligible for State licensure. Additional certifications may be required.
LPNs in Hospice must be compassionate, empathetic, and skilled at providing holistic care focused on quality of life.
