About the Position: This position is located at Naval Branch Health Clinic Groton, Groton, Connecticut. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Perform evaluations and provide treatments to patients.
- Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates.
- Evaluate overall success of therapeutic efforts and institute changes to increase effectiveness.
- Conduct specialty military evaluations to assess psychological fitness and suitability for military duties.
- Develop performance standards and evaluates work performance for subordinates.
- Evaluate overall success of therapeutic efforts and institute changes to increase effectiveness.
- Provides direct supervision to unlicensed Clinical Psychologists
- Conduct psychological evaluation and treatment for Service Members stationed at Naval Submarine Base New London and multiple outlying commands.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting psychological assessment; conducting individual, family or group therapy; and instructing others on work or administration matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
