Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer


Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a hybrid Sr. Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer in Austin, Tx. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining an enterprise Identity and Access Management ecosystem over the life of the contract.

Major duties

  • Design, implement, and maintain an enterprise Identity and Access Management ecosystem throughout the contract term.
  • Lead the architecture and deployment of a centralized identity provider framework supporting SAML 2.0 and IODC for SSO and MFA.
  • Build and support Joiner, Mover, and Leaver lifecycle workflows.
  • Onboard enterprise applications through REST APIs and implement Role-Based Access Control models.
  • Deploy and maintain privileged access management capabilities, including secure credential vaulting, automated password rotation, and just-in-time provisioning.
  • Perform ongoing system maintenance, including performance tuning, troubleshooting provisioning errors and connection failures, and continuing application onboarding.

What are we looking for?

  • 8 years of IAM platform governance, engineering, lifecycle automation, and scripting.
  • 8 years of application onboarding and integrating business applications with IAM systems.
  • 5 years of designing and implementing RBAC models, enforcing separation of duties, and designing certification campaigns.
  • 5 years of managing centralized identity providers and configuring SSO and MFA.
  • 5 years of managing centralized identity providers and configuring SSO, MFA, and federation protocols.
  • 1 year of SailPoint ISC implementation and operations preferred.

  • Rate: $100.00/hour

  • W2 Contract
